Fort William, Scotland, 7th of June 2008 - Bart Brentjens has just qualified
for his 4th Olympic Games by finishing at position 14 on the Scottish track.
Bart Brentjens wrote mountainbike history in 1996 by winning gold at the
sport's first Olympic games in Atlanta. In 2004 Bart won bronze, proving his
incredible power and determination. Brentjens will now focus on the upcoming
Olympics and is extremely motivated to make it a succes. Chris Jongewaard, who
had already qualified for the Olympics for Australia, rode to an excellent 18th
position. Jongewaard was able to help Brentjens during the race but unlucky
crashed in the last lap, he will be allright though. Alban Lakata made also an
excellent return by finishing 36th overall. Rudi van Houts, who did not recover
in time, will focus on the World Championships in Italy to try and qualify for
the Olympics.
