Chase is back on the bike after a broken leg...
Saalbach Hinterglemm, Austria - The Cut visited the Adidas Slopestyle
competition in Saalbach Hinterglemm, Austria this past weekend and Cut pro
rider Carlo Dieckmann took home a respectable third place on his Cannondale
Prophet MX.
Carlo?s run consisted of a 360 out of the satellite dish, back flip out of the
fruit bowl bridge, suicide no hander over the gondola, suicide no hander off
the 20 foot drop and finished the run with a backflip over the last jump. "I
was stoked to be on the podium for one of the main international slopestyle
events of the year." Explained Dieckmann. "The course was good it had
everything that fit my style. I was able to go big and tech in the same run."
The Adidas-Slopestyle was Aaron Chase's first slopestyle event since his broken
femur back in February. "It just felt good to get loose on the bike," said
Chase. "I am so stoked to be feeling better and I am starting to get my courage
back. I have a lot of events coming up so it was good to get the first one
under my belt." Chase was throwing down with style during the Goatking dirt
jump comp showing the crowd what a backflip tabletop should look like.
As the Cut is just getting Aaron Chase back on the bike, Christopher Hatton of
France sprained his left shoulder during the competition trying a 360 transfer
out of the quarter pipe. Christopher will be off the bike for 3 weeks while he
lets his shoulder recover.
The Cut packed up their RV today and is hitting the road, traveling throughout
Europe while they continue filming for their signature DVD coming out this
fall.
