Adidas Slopestyle, Saalbach Hinterglemm
Austria?s Glemmtal will be the adidas Slopestyle venue for three more years
After only two years, the adidas Slopestyle has become one of the largest and
most significant freeride events in the world. For the second time in a row the
small town of Saalbach Hinterglemm turned into a Freeride Mecca this June when
the adidas Slopestyle Contest pulled the fourty best freeriders in the world to
Austria and along with them 100 journalists, photographers, and film crews as
well as the who?s who of the international freeride community. Now Saalbach
Hinterglemm has committed to be the Slopestyle venue for three more years.

Saalbach Hinterglemm, Austria - The Cut visited the Adidas Slopestyle
competition in Saalbach Hinterglemm, Austria this past weekend and Cut pro
rider Carlo Dieckmann took home a respectable third place on his Cannondale
Prophet MX.
Carlo?s run consisted of a 360 out of the satellite dish, back flip out of the
fruit bowl bridge, suicide no hander over the gondola, suicide no hander off
the 20 foot drop and finished the run with a backflip over the last jump. "I

Darren Berrecloth wins adidas Slopestyle 2006
On Saturday, Saalbach Hinterglemm in Austria?s Salzburger Land saw the biggest
rock show mountain biking currently has to offer: the adidas Slopestyle.
Witnessed by 170 journalists, film crews, and photographers from 22 countries
and thousands of spectators the fifty best pro freeriders in the world
performed breathtaking stunts on a spectacular obstacle course designed by
Canadian course builder Riley McIntosh.
In its third year, the adidas Slopestyle managed once again to step the level

Paul Basagoitia takes first in Catania at the first ?Red Bull District Ride # 1
Paul Basagoitia continues to impress this season as he rolled, back flipped,
360?d and 360 tail whipped into first place at the ?Red Bull District Ride? in
Catania. Paul was able to crank out a final run through the stunt and jump
filled streets of Catania that none of the other competitors were able to
match.
?What a place, what an event,? said Basagoitia after his victory. ?To win in
this type of venue and atmosphere really increases the stoke factor for me and
I am pretty excited to pull it off.?
