2006 Monster Energy/Iron Horse/Mad Catz Team
The Monster Energy/Iron Horse/Mad Catz racing team announced today its team for
the upcoming 2006-competition season.
Leading the charge again this year will be one of the world?s top downhill
mountain bike racers, Australian Sam Hill. Hill, 21, has been with the Monster
Energy/Iron Horse/Mad Catz racing team for three seasons now and has just inked
a deal that will have him on the team for another three years. A two-time
Junior World Champion (2002-?03) and two-time US Open Champion, Hill finished
second in the UCI World Cup downhill standings the past two years (2004-?05).

Sam Hill Retains Leaders Jersey at World Cup # 2
The World Cup visited Andorra for the first time in its 15 year history and all
riders faced the challenge of a new course and all the unknowns that go along
with that. Early training times suggested that it was going to be a short race
of around two and a half minutes, but with rain featuring throughout most of
the week, concerns were also raised about how the track would hold up and
whether or not rain would play a factor on race day.
