Kyle Strait Takes First Top 10 in World Cup
In a result that most great riders have shown they can achieve in junior years
before moving on to their elite career, Kyle Strait of Redlands, California
(Specialized/Red Bull/Oakley/Fox Shox), has scored his first ever top 10 in
World Cup racing when he finished 7th in the Men?s 4X held last night in
Schladming, Austria.
Round 3 of the World Cup was held on yet another spectacular course built by
Full Contact Racing, and despite some sprinkling showers towards the end of the
racing, the large crowd stuck around to watch an exciting set of finals, semi

18 year old Kyle Strait (Specialized/Oakley/Red Bull) recorded his best ever
results in World Cup racing at last weekend?s finals in Fort William, Scotland,
with an impressive 12th place in Downhill and 7th in the 4X.
The junior rider from Redlands, California was making up for a disappointing
World Championships where a snapped thumb shifter and a crash put him out of
contention for the Junior World Title. In Fort William he finished as the
highest placed junior in the downhill and 4X, coming within inches of his first
World Cup podium.
Kyle Strait takes Red Bull del Condor
In the super high altitudes of the streets of Bolivia's capital city, La Paz,
18 year old Kyle Strait Specialized/Oakley/Red Bull/Fox Shox) finished off a
fine 2005 season with a win in the inaugural Red Bull Descenso del Condor on
December 4. The event was a combination of a downhill street race with some
cool obstacles often found in a slope style event, and after a series of
qualification rounds, Kyle won the event by nearly 5 seconds over his South
American competitors.
This is the first time that the city of La Paz has witnessed a competition as

Talented Junior Kyle Strait of Redlands, California, found himself on the
podium twice this week at the French Cup Finals in La Bresse, in the country?s
north-east. This was Kyle?s first visit to the French Cup series, which has
been famous for producing talented junior riders over the years, and was a
welcome warm up for the Specialized/Oakley/Red Bull rider as he prepares for
the World Championships next week.
Last night Kyle entered the elite men?s 4X where he qualified 2nd fastest
behind 2004 World Championship silver medallist Mickael Deldycke of France.
Kyle Strait Podiums At First Qashqai
20 year old Kyle Strait from Redlands California finished 3rd at the opening
round of the Qashqai Urban Challenge in Newcastle UK, with a strong performance
in the 2nd final.
The form result comes on the back of his 2nd place at the Sea Otter Dirt Jump
competition, making it 2 podiums for 2, in his first major Freeride events of
the year.
Today Kyle was in hospital visiting his Red Bull team mate Aaron Chase who took
a bad fall off one of the tallest north shore wooden structures, during
training, and apparently has a broken vertabrae. According to Kyle, Aaron is
Kyle Strait Wins SRAM Dual Stunt At Sea Otter
After qualifying fastest yesterday for the brand new SRAM Dual Stunt event here
at Sea Otter, Kyle Strait went on to dominate the event and take it all the way
for the win.
The course featured various obstacles such as leg sapping stall walls, wall
rides, boxes, steps and narrow north shore wooden ramps, and riders went head
to head in a dual slalom format on a red then black course.
With racing starting at a round of 16, it meant riders had to recover from
sprinting over the various obstacles like the 8 foot high stall walls, then
