Sam Hill Takes Win Number 1 at World Cup # 1

If there was even an ounce of doubt prior to the opening round of the Nissan
UCI Moutnain Bike World Cup that Sam Hill could follow his stellar season of
2007 in the same dominant style, well that evaporated today in sunny Maribor in
front of thousands of enthusiastic fans.

Last year Sam capped his race season and secured the World Cup title with a
solid win at the finals on the same course, but this is the first time in his
career that Sam has won the opening round, doing so 3 seconds clear of 2nd
place, thus setting the tone for 2008.

final, but he won qualifying in the semi final which gave him the maximum 250

Another Strong Season for Team Monster Energy

As the book closes on yet another quality Mountain Bike racing season, Team
Monster Energy's riders and Team Manager reflect on the World Cup finals in
Schladming, Austria, as well as the season as a whole and look forward to the
2009 season. Strong podium places, race wins and a tantalizing glimpse into the
future for Brendan Fairclough, were all highlights of the year that was 2008.

While lead rider Sam Hill (AUS) didn't take home the World Cup title, he
remains philosophical about the season and that last race.
